Well it's not a bird or a plane. I don't think. For my SkyWatch Friday posting this week, I'm offering up this interesting cloud. This showed up last weekend over the lake and at the time I took the photo I wasn't aware how strange it looked. It wasn't until I looked at the photos that I noticed how other worldly it seemed.

Ah what a beautiful sky Mary...sometimes I'm amazed when I look up, to see the way the clouds look and what is going on up there.
Back in July, after a storm, my husband and I were coming home from an afternoon out and saw the most incredible rainbow we've ever seen. As we drove home, we followed it and how it looked from all the different vantage points of out journey. How I wish I had a camera that day.

That's a wonderful cloud shot. It's a hover craft of sorts!
Gosh, these clouds reminds me of those we saw in Montana, the big sky country. I like these. I also like the dogs in your slide show. Those are special.
My Sky Watch Friday blog is at my Canon Pixels blog. If you have time I would appreciate your having a look at the sky peeking through the oak tree leaves.
Beautiful sky and cloud. You're right. It looks like it's gonna land. Great choice for Skywatch.
Mumbai Skywatch
That cloud is gigantic it looks like it is almost touching the water.
It's got a spaceship inside it. It really is a strange cloud hanging there, but lovely.
No one could ask for more sky! Beautifully captured!
Cheers, Klaus
I love clouds. My post is about clouds this week too. Very nice.
Cool Shot..Thank you for stopping by my blog.
The cloud reminds me of one of the space ships from the movie Independence Day...
Hope to see you next week..
I agree that is an unusual cloud. Pretty
It does look a bit alien, but it's beautiful, and in that brilliant sky. Lovely SWF photos.
That's a great cloud formation. It almost looks like a volcano to me.
Ha! It does look like it's just kind of hanging there! Nice photos...
Those are unusual looking clouds. I love it when I take photos and then find out later that something that seemed ho hum is really special. Thanks for sharing, and I like your paintings.
lovely sky, happy SWF.
Michigan skies are wonderful, aren't they? I love the way you capture the colors in the sky and the clouds.
Love those clouds, and your dogs, especially the one 'smiling' are hilarious!
The clouds look heavy but real pretty, almost looking as though it's touching the water :)
Happy Skywatch!
Otherworldly doesn't even begin to describe what you have captured here. Thanks for sharing!
I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it - what a wonderful display of cloud formations!! Beautiful photos!

Happy Skywatching!
..
I like the diferent stratas of clouds.
very beautiful compositions for swf. well done
Clouds represent a world of their own. They make people think and they guide farmers and sailors, predicting the kind of weather they may expect. Great photos!
Giants clouds! "Kingkongclouds" I read in another blog.
It looks a typical rolling rain-filled cloud to me - I wouldn't call it other-worldly myself but such clouds are always awesome.
Hi Mary lovely SWF picture.
With that amount of liquid in it one wonders just how it can hang there.
I recon that something was inside checking out the area.
'Yeh! far better than Mars'
Thanks for your visit and kind comments.
Love it........looks like ya could float on it.
Lots of weather in that! Beautiful formation.
Yes, it does have an interesting look about it. Do you suppose somebody installed it upside down by accident? ;-)
wonderful cloud shot.
I love the blue blue sky and the white puffy clouds in it. Just great.
Wow! I wonder who live in there ;O)
It's just hovering and goes well with your sound bites!

Amazing post for SWF with amazing cloud. It reminds me a sponge a bit:-) I really like it. Have a nice day and happy skywatching:-)
It is just amazing all the differing colors you have gotten from that one scene where you take your sunsets. It is a blessing you live where you live so you can take those shots. I commented on some of your previous posts.
very nice and interesting looking cloud....
Thanks for visiting my blog. I love your clouds, but can't decide (I guess you couldn't either) whether I prefer the first or the second. I think maybe the second as it shows how huge that wonderful puffy cloud is. Also the tree edges echo the cloud edges. And I also love your paintings AND the nature sounds. Thanks for a lovely blog.
Definitely a spaceship of some kind..you've got beautiful countryside there..
it's like a big winged aircraft. :)
thanks for sharing and droppin by my entry. :)
Great shot! The cloud could almost be a space ship it looks so substantial!
Thank you again for visiting my blog. I hope you stop by again sometime!
