What's That In The Sky......?

Well it's not a bird or a plane. I don't think. For my SkyWatch Friday posting this week, I'm offering up this interesting cloud. This showed up last weekend over the lake and at the time I took the photo I wasn't aware how strange it looked. It wasn't until I looked at the photos that I noticed how other worldly it seemed.

Click the skywatch Friday emblem to see more fascinating sky around the world this week!

Ah what a beautiful sky Mary...sometimes I'm amazed when I look up, to see the way the clouds look and what is going on up there.

Back in July, after a storm, my husband and I were coming home from an afternoon out and saw the most incredible rainbow we've ever seen. As we drove home, we followed it and how it looked from all the different vantage points of out journey. How I wish I had a camera that day.

That's a wonderful cloud shot. It's a hover craft of sorts!

Gosh, these clouds reminds me of those we saw in Montana, the big sky country. I like these. I also like the dogs in your slide show. Those are special.

My Sky Watch Friday blog is at my Canon Pixels blog. If you have time I would appreciate your having a look at the sky peeking through the oak tree leaves.

Clouds represent a world of their own. They make people think and they guide farmers and sailors, predicting the kind of weather they may expect. Great photos!

Giants clouds! "Kingkongclouds" I read in another blog.

It looks a typical rolling rain-filled cloud to me - I wouldn't call it other-worldly myself but such clouds are always awesome.

Hi Mary lovely SWF picture.
With that amount of liquid in it one wonders just how it can hang there.

I recon that something was inside checking out the area.
'Yeh! far better than Mars'
Thanks for your visit and kind comments.

It is just amazing all the differing colors you have gotten from that one scene where you take your sunsets. It is a blessing you live where you live so you can take those shots. I commented on some of your previous posts.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I love your clouds, but can't decide (I guess you couldn't either) whether I prefer the first or the second. I think maybe the second as it shows how huge that wonderful puffy cloud is. Also the tree edges echo the cloud edges. And I also love your paintings AND the nature sounds. Thanks for a lovely blog.
