Beautiful Sky Friday

Doesn't it look like a pig flying on the left? I have to think hard about what is supposed to happen when pigs fly!!

Skywatch Friday Day in March

Well it's finally skyworthy around here. I've been out of pocket with skywatch because the sky in the winter for the most part is steel gray, day in and day out. We get peeks at the sun sometimes but it's such a shock I forget to grab my camera. This sky reminded me again of how magnificent it is the rest of the year.

Break In The Clouds

We had a few days recently of heavy rains and one afternoon I took this photo through a wet window. I liked the hole in the clouds. It reminded me of someone looking down to see how much water was down here.

Pillow Clouds

I thought these clouds were interesting. Looked like a perforated cloud blanket. They appeared on the 15th of this month.

SkyWatch Friday "Patterns"

You need to double click on this one to get the full effect of the light.

This week was one great week for skywatching. The clouds had all kinds of patterns going on and hardly a day went by that I didn't see something exciting. I didn't always have a camera along to capture what I saw. You'd think I'd learn. All of the next three were from last Sat. The center one was in the afternoon and was a lot more impressive in person. The other two were from that evening right over our house.

SkyWatch Friday In Purple

I chose this photo for this weeks SkyWatch because of it's unusual color. I took it a few nights ago. I have no idea what conditions created such a purple but it's pretty!

Sky Watch Wave

I took this photo last night. I picked it for SkyWatch Friday because it looks like waves rolling in. The light was what caught my attention in the first place. That and the awesome color. This one is worth a double click!

SkyWatch Friday

I really love how the clouds do their own dance so to speak in this evenings display. The differing colors and shapes made for a "wow" sky shot. I knew this would be my offering the minute I saw it!

SkyWatch Friday

Wow this week went fast. I mark it now by when it's time to think about SkyWatch Friday. We're currently under what's left of hurricane Gustav so things are very gray and very wet. This posting is from a rainy July evening.

Just Peachy

My SkyWatch Friday offering this week is this peachy sunset. tonight everything in the sky and water looked like peach haze. We REALLY don't have all orange sunsets around here, just seems that way.

Sky Watch Friday

My post for Sky Watch Friday is this stunning orange sunset. I had been outside just a few minutes before and had in fact just found sky watch friday online but didn't think the sky tonight was worthy. Then moments later I noticed this!! The sky over Indian Lake wanted to be highlighted this week!! :) click on the sky watch friday logo to see other great sky photos!!
