This is the scene I witnessed a week ago. Dark brooding navy sky behind brilliant sun lit autumn trees. It was spectacular and I decided then I wanted to paint it on a large canvas.

I'll leave it up to the observer whether this is the oncoming storm that brings an adrenalin rush, or the sweet relief of a receding storm that leaves the air so fresh.

My latest offering is "Michigan Road". Not exactly an original title but it seemed to fit. I'm so inspired by the vast beautiful landscape here I want to expand my work to include a lot of it.
